RISE Projects Honoured for Cultural Impact at Haringey Community Showcase & Awards 2024

RISE Projects is proud to have been highly commended in the Arts, Culture, and Heritage category at the Haringey Community Showcase & Awards 2024. This recognition celebrates our commitment to championing culture and community, particularly through our work with Haringey’s Black community.

The annual event brought together local organisations to celebrate their contributions, foster connections, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Winning this award highlights the lasting impact of our cultural initiatives and the dedication of our team and volunteers. We had a stall at the event, where we were able to start information about projects and activities with the stall visitors.

One of our standout achievements in 2024 was our Black History Month Cultural Night, now in its third year. The event, attended by Mayor of Haringey Sue Jameson, provided a vibrant space for cultural expression, storytelling, and community engagement, reinforcing the importance of heritage in shaping identity.

"We are delighted to be highly commended for our work in Arts, Culture, and Heritage. Our Black History Month Cultural Night has grown year after year, and this award is a testament to the dedication of our team and volunteers who made it possible for the community."Ahmed Mohamed, Director of Services

As we step into 2025, we remain committed to expanding our cultural initiatives and supporting young people across Haringey. With new projects on the horizon, we look forward to another year of empowering communities and celebrating heritage.

Thank you to everyone who has supported RISE Projects—here’s to another year of impact and growth!
