This is a community discussion to discuss the impact and consequence of knife crime in Haringey. We will have guest speakers who will give their views on how to safeguard young Somali people and how to ensure knife crime is reduced within the community.

Join us for April's coffee morning and drop-in support session, where we'll be discussing serious youth violence within the Somali community in Haringey. In particular we will look at the drivers of serious youth violence and anti-social behaviours as well as how to safeguard young people from becoming involved in crime and youth violence.

As part of our community engagement discussion series on the causes and impact of knife crime in our community, we will be organising an event on hidden harm and the impact of drugs and drugs misuse. This is great opportunity for young people to learn about the impact of drugs, how these impacts on family relationships and young people’s future aspirations. We have partnered with Insight Platform to deliver this workshop.

We are very pleased to announce our next monthly Coffee Morning and Drop-in Support Session is about Universal Credit. As many of you already know Universal Credit has been rolled out in Haringey late last year and many people continue to face all manner of problems understanding this new system and how it affects them and their families.

We have teamed up with Haringey Citizens Advice Bureau to come in for our next Coffee Morning on Wednesday 20th March 10am to 12:30 to support people who need advice, information and support on Universal Credit.

The running theme for the night will be career development where we’ll come together to discuss personal development as well as empowerment with opportunities to meet and talk to females well established into their careers!
